Your Community, Your Change Change starts when people dare to speak up. New treatments exist today, in part, because teens bravely told legislators and policymakers about their experiences and what they wanted for their future. Teen Advocacy Fellows is a program designed for teens to work together to tell the stories that create change. The details: The Fellowship is a one-year commitment The goal: Meet with both of your U.S. senators and your representative to talk about your alopecia areata experience and ask for their support for change You’ll meet with other fellows throughout the year to learn about advocacy, share ideas, ask questions, and track meeting progress You’ll have the opportunity to challenge yourself and other fellows to find new and creative ways to tell your stories and deliver your message Fellows are mentored by our volunteer Fellowship Coordinator, Abby TerHaar. Applications for the 2027 Teen Advocacy Fellows program are now open—but only until October 31, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this incredible program; apply today and make the first step toward making your voice heard and creating change! Apply Today!
