Wig Resources

While NAAF does not provide financial support to purchase wigs, we have identified the organizations below who have expertise in the area of providing wigs. These organizations provide free wigs to children and young adults with medically related hair loss such as alopecia areata.

We have done our best to ensure that the resources available on this website are accurate. NAAF provides this information as a reference. It is your responsibility to conduct your own research and make your own determination about any organization, products or services listed on this page.

Help Make Wigs More Affordable with New Legislation
The National Alopecia Areata Foundation’s (NAAF) advocacy efforts prioritize passage of legislation that will require Medicare and insurance companies to provide coverage for wigs, which has the potential to impact tens of thousands of people in our community.

You can help make cranial prosthetics, or wigs, more affordable by asking your congressional representative and senators to co-sponsor new legislation which redesignates wigs as durable medical equipment eligible for Medicare coverage.
