Amber Janke

Amber Janke joined NAAF in August 2026 as Director of Development, bringing more than a decade of experience building philanthropic partnerships and advancing the missions of nonprofit organizations. Her career has centered on connecting people to causes they care about and developing fundraising strategies that deepen engagement, strengthen relationships, and generate meaningful support for organizations and the communities they serve.

Before joining NAAF, Amber served as Director of Programs, Operations & Strategic Partnerships at Wallis Annenberg GenSpace in Los Angeles, where she helped lead a community-based center dedicated to reimagining aging and creating opportunities for connection, learning, and well-being. Her career also includes senior development leadership roles with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, The New York Foundling, Citymeals on Wheels, National Kidney Foundation, and St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Across these organizations, Amber has led major and individual giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, donor and volunteer engagement, and comprehensive fundraising strategies that have generated millions of dollars in philanthropic support.

Amber holds a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Library and Information Science. She lives in Southern California and, outside of work, enjoys discovering new hobbies, exploring nature, and spending time with family and friends.

Guided by a belief in the power of relationships, community, and philanthropy to create meaningful and lasting change, she is excited to bring that commitment to NAAF and help grow the partnerships and resources that advance its mission and support the alopecia areata community.
