The National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) is thrilled to announce that it has welcomed Ryan Reczek as its President & CEO. Bringing more than two decades of leadership experience with national nonprofit and patient advocacy organizations, Ryan has built his career around strengthening organizations, driving sustainable growth, and improving the lives of patients and families. “It is an honor to join the National Alopecia Areata Foundation to improve the lives of those living with this autoimmune disease,” shared Ryan. “For the past 45 years, this organization has been the leading alopecia areata organization in the world, providing resources and support, creating awareness, and driving research to discover more treatments. I am excited to continue this incredible work in collaboration with the staff, volunteers, advocates, and partners.” Prior to joining NAAF, Ryan served as Northeast Territory Vice President for the American Diabetes Association, where he led one of the organization’s largest field operations focused on market development, community engagement, and volunteer leadership. Ryan’s leadership experience spans both the mission and business sides of nonprofit organizations, with a focus on building strong teams, engaging boards, developing strategic partnerships, and strengthening organizational performance. Throughout his career, he has helped organizations grow while expanding their reach and impact. “The Board of Directors is thrilled to welcome Ryan as NAAF’s new President & CEO, shared Tyrone Folliard-Olson, Board Chair, NAAF’s Board of Directors. “This is a hopeful time for the alopecia areata community with more treatments in the pipeline, expanding resources and support, and a growing network of advocates. Ryan will provide the leadership and vision needed to build on this momentum to expand impact for our community.” Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College and a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
