Julie Wallace, PhD Senior Director, Government Affairs & Advocacy Julie joined NAAF as Senior Director, Government Affairs and Advocacy, in August 2025. She came to NAAF following nearly 20 years at the National Institutes of Health, where she initially served as a Health Science Policy Analyst before becoming Deputy Director of the Office of Scientific Program and Policy Analysis for the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases. Julie received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry from Yale University, Ph.D. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and completed her postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases. Julie currently resides in Rockville, Maryland.
