Please contact us at conference@naaf.org if you have any questions. 41st Annual NAAF Conference Theme: Magic of Belonging, Power of Community Location: Orlando, FL • Dates: June 25 – 28, 2026 The National Alopecia Areata Foundation invites proposals for presentations at the 41st Annual NAAF Conference, the premier event bringing together the alopecia areata community to connect, learn, and share experiences that strengthen our community. This year’s theme, Magic of Belonging, Power of Community, celebrates the importance of connecting with others affected by alopecia areata. We’re looking for engaging, informative, and inspiring sessions that reflect the diversity of our community and provide attendees with practical knowledge, and strategies and tools to live their best life with alopecia areata. Who Should Submit We welcome proposals from: Individuals and families affected by alopecia areata Community leaders and advocates Healthcare professionals and researchers Educators, social workers, and mental health professionals Session Types Workshops: Interactive sessions focused on skill-building, peer learning, or problem-solving. Panel Discussions: Multiple speakers offering diverse perspectives on a shared topic. Roundtables / Community Conversations: Facilitated discussions on topics important to attendees. Topics of Interest While all proposals are welcome, we are especially interested in sessions that address: Empowerment Emotional well-being/mental health Self-acceptance Navigating healthcare and insurance Transitioning through life stages with alopecia areata Unique needs of men with alopecia areata Unique needs of individuals with mild to moderate alopecia areata Camouflage and make-up techniques Submission Guidelines Please include the following in your proposal: Title of presentation Brief abstract containing the following information: A title for your presentation Why the topic is important and what problem it addresses How participants will achieve learning objectives Presentation/workshop description How the session will benefit attendees. Learning objectives (up to 3) Presenter name(s), title(s), affiliation(s), and biosketch(es) **Please note that NAAF does not pay travel expenses or speaker fees for presenters at the conference. NAAF DOES provide speakers with a complimentary registration for the conference and one complimentary hotel room in our room block for the conference dates.** Submission Deadline: The submission deadline for proposals for presentations for the Annual NAAF Conference has passed. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Notifications will be sent out one month after the proposal is submitted. Presenters of successful submission will receive a complimentary registration to the NAAF Annual Conference. NAAF does not pay for presenter travel expenses or any speaker fees. Questions?
