Welcome to the Alopecia Areata Marketplace, a safe, private way to shop from your home for products relevant to someone with hair loss. Please take time to view the companies on this page. As you order your items, check the box marked “NAAF”, or enter the words “NAAF” (or other code that vendor has indicated) on your final order form. When you indicate that you were referred to their company through the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, each company listed has generously offered to contribute 10% percent of their sales to our organization -- so, please be sure to include a note every time you order that you found them through NAAF. We have carefully listed companies that people in our community have found useful and of high quality and we hope that you will benefit by our selection.

If you have a product for people with hair loss and would like to become a vendor in the NAAF Marketplace, please contact our Marketplace Director, Lisa Ciancio, at videsign [at] comcast.net.

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT of THE MONTH - MAY 2016 - SWIM LIDS

Swimlids are a UPF 50 hat for an active lifestyle. The hat was invented by Karen Gellis, during a family vacation in Florida. When her eldest daughter suffered from an awful sun rash on her face, Karen pleaded for her to wear a hat in the water. But every hat she tried got wet and fell off. Karen, a swimmer, placed her rubber swim cap over her daughter’s baseball hat and her daughter swam happily for hours. As she was swimming, Karen thought there isn’t anything like this on the market. That night she and her mother went to the store and purchased nylon swim caps and baseball hats and cut and sewed all night. Swimlids was born.

Swimlids are meant to fit snug, like a swim cap. The hat should be pulled down over the ears for maximum sun protection. It can be worn under water, surfing, boating, tubing, water skiing, and so much more! The wide brim allows for coverage over your face and eyes. Some people have even said Swimlids are great for a roller coaster!
Swim. Splash. Play. Protect.
