Study to Investigate the Efficacy and Safety of an Investigational Medication in Patients with Alopecia Areata

Age 18+; diagnosed with alopecia areata (50% or greater scalp hair loss)

A clinical research study is currently looking for adults with alopecia areata who have lost 50% or more of the hair on their head to participate in a study of an investigational medication. During the course of this study, some people will receive the investigational medication, and some will receive an inactive medication called a placebo. The study will explore whether the study drug is safe and can help alopecia areata patients regrow hair. The study drug, using different doses, will be compared to an inactive placebo (dummy drug).

You may qualify to participate if you:

  • are 18 years of age or older
  • have been diagnosed with alopecia areata
  • have at least 50% scalp hair loss*
*study doctor will assess your amount of hair loss.
