SeeUs! LOVE2016

Beginning September 14th and running through October 26th, in celebration of Alopecia Areata Awareness Month, NAAF is part of the Revlon Love 2016 Challenge

The Challenge is a six week fundraising competition launched by Revlon where organizations that support health causes compete for cash prize donations from Revlon. Over $1.4 Million will be given away in prize money to organizations participating in the Challenge. We're ready to raise as much money as we can! In addition, if we hit $50,000 by October 5th, we will be flown to NYC to pitch a collaboration between NAAF and Revlon to raise awareness and generate more funds.

Through this campaign, we have an opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of all those living with alopecia areata and their loved ones! Share your stories, your pictures and your videos! Together we can reduce the stigma of living with visible difference, increase awareness and raise funds for NAAF's programs of support, education and research for a cure.

A world without suffering from alopecia areata.

Alopecia Areata Awareness Month

This September as we show the world who we really are, beautiful and powerful inside and out. Help raise awareness of alopecia areata, celebrate inner strength, reduce the stigma of difference, and have fun! This Awareness Month we will also be telling our communities that alopecia areata is a disease that hurtsas we begin collecting stories of the significant emotional pain that can accompany alopecia areata for our Patient Focused Drug Development (PFDDI) meeting with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2017.

Alopecia Areata Awareness Month is the perfect time to share your story and host an event so that your community can better understand alopecia areata and living with difference. Together we can illustrate our common wellness and humanity in the face of illness and adversity and raise funds to support the essential work of research, education and awareness taking place at NAAF each day.

And don’t forget those beloved September awareness events, from the epic Rock for Locks fundraiser in Milwaukee, WI on September 10, to 14 Team Up events with minor and major league baseball teams across the country, including the Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins, Houston Astros, and three-time world champion San Francisco Giants. See all game listings below.

You can participate too! If there’s an activity you and your friends and family enjoy, it’s extremely likely you can build a fundraiser around it. This creates energy and enthusiasm, not only for you but for those attending.

What sort of event is right for you? Art show? Bowl-a-thon? Jeans Day? You tell us! To get ideas and learn how easy it is to host an event, check out our webinars How to Low-Impact Fundraise and Nuts and Bolts of Successful Fundraising and Awareness Events.
