NAAF was established in 1981 with one clear goal; to offer support to individuals affected by alopecia areata. Though the mission has expanded over the past two decades to include advocating for change and funding research to find a treatment or cure, the importance of providing a substantial support program to people of all ages and interests has not diminished. We're here to help; please click on the link below to access our list of support volunteers across the country and internationally.

The NAAF support network offers different ways to create a sense of community among individuals with alopecia areata and their families. If you would like to discuss your experiences with alopecia areata in a group setting, the Support Group Program will be the best fit. It is a great way to get support and know you are not alone. If you are more comfortable communicating with distance, the NAAF Pen Pal Programs provide a great opportunity to meet others via email or by letters. The online system can be a great fit for those who cannot attend a support meeting. You can also speak one on one with our experienced telephone support contacts. We're here to help; please use as many of these programs as you would like.
