Connection, Inspiration & Transformation NAAF’s Youth Camp is designed for children and adolescents ages 5-17 who are living with alopecia areata or have a loved one with the condition. Camp participants are divided into three age groups: 5–10-year-olds, 11–13-year-olds, and 14–17-year-olds. What happens at the camp? Age-appropriate programming, including activities, games, and field trips, is thoughtfully planned and executed by NAAF staff and Corporate Kids Events (CKE) with your children’s fun, safety, and self-esteem in mind. An example Youth Camp schedule can be found here. Activities, times, and special guests vary from year to year. Campers are provided with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Children who are registered for the camp are expected to eat the meals provided for campers. All meals will have gluten-free, vegetarian/vegan, and nut-free options. All meals will be nut-free. The following sample menus from previous camps are provided for your convenience. These may not reflect the actual camp menus for the 2026 conference. Breakfast: Continental breakfast: Assorted pastries, whole fruit, and juice Lunch: Buffet style with the following options: Pizzas – including gluten-free option Hot dogs Potato chips Cookies Lemonade Snacks: Freshly popped popcorn, cookies, lemonade What safety precautions are in place? CKE program managers are experienced childcare professionals, certified in CPR and first aid, and have completed a background check. The camp utilizes a secure, multi-level check-in and check-out protocol for every child every time. This gives you peace of mind that your child is safe, and only designated individuals can drop off or pick up your child from our camp. For more information about Corporate Kids Events, visit their website. How do I sign my kid up for the camp? Children must be registered to attend the Children’s Camp. Space is limited. You can register your child(ren) for the Camp when you register for the conference. To register your child for the camp, you will need to provide the following for EACH CHILD participating in the Camp: Permission and emergency consent forms Dietary restrictions and food allergies For children with allergies or special dietary needs (ex – gluten-free, vegetarian, Kosher, Halal), please provide a detailed list of safe and acceptable foods Birth date and age of child at the time of the conference Name and telephone number of their doctor Insurance carrier and policy number Space is limited, so register today to ensure that your child can participate in this camp. Due to the nature of the camp, children must be registered to attend the camp by May 26. If you register after this date, we cannot guarantee your child a space at the camp. Any individual under the age of 18 registered for the Conference MUST have a parent or legal guardian who is also registered for the Conference. Minors without an accompanying registered parent or legal guardian WILL NOT be permitted to attend the Conference or Youth Camp.
