Stanford, CA Alopecia Areata Support Group Meeting
Guest Speaker: Jeanne Kane, MA
Ms. Kane works for Stanford's Hospital Educational Advocacy Liaisons (HEAL) program. She is the program's supervisor and education specialist. Ms. Kane has 20 years of experience working with children who have medical needs (some with alopecia areata) that impact their participation in regular school or life experiences.
We are also thankful to have Stanford dermatologist, Dr. Shehla Admani, present to answer medical questions.
During the meeting, children are welcome to play games and do arts and crafts in a separate room. They will be cared for by a Stanford staff member and our daughter Anna (a high school senior).
This meeting is our annual holiday potluck! Please bring a dish to share :)
