Please join us in celebrating awareness month by helping to make this auction a success!
September is Alopecia Areata Awareness Month, a month devoted to producing campaigns centered on alleviating the stigma associated with the autoimmune disease. This why NAAF chose to hold The first Alopecia Areata Auction for Awareness now. “We are looking forward to our first online auction because not only will it help NAAF continue the work we do for individuals with alopecia areata, but it will introduce an entirely new population to the disease, and allow them to feel as if they are giving to a worthwhile cause as they shop,” explains NAAF President & CEO Vicki Kalabokes.
The online auction will take place over ten days, September 21-30, 2009. Of course, everyone can also participate in the bidding and can engage friends, families and community members in the bidding as well!
A collection of one of a kind items, which range from sports memorabilia to San Francisco tours, fine art and clothing, have been donated by supporters of the National Alopecia Areata Foundation and will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting children, women and men with alopecia areata.
See the Auction Listings here (NOTE: list not viewable until 7am PT on 9/21).
