Charlie's Angels Meet and Greet Opportunity
Friday - March 1, 2013
New Orleans Hornets vs. Detroit Pistons
Charlie
Villanueva of the Detroit Pistons is doing a Meet and Greet with
children who have alopecia areata before the Pistons play the New Orleans Hornets on Friday, March 1, at New Orleans Arena.
The effect of meeting a sports hero who shares the same autoimmune
disease is immediate for these kids, boosting their self-esteem by
reminding them they’re as good as any other boy or girl. Too often a
child with alopecia areata is bullied and the chance to meet Charlie
Villanueva, to learn from his example, is an invaluable experience.
The Hornets are offering a special group rate but we must have a minimum of 15 in attendance.
If you and your family would like to attend this memorable night, please contact NAAF Team Captain Kathryn Robinson at jonkat37@msn.com so she can keep an accurate count and you can get the special group rate!
NBA Player Charlie Villanueva, Detroit
Pistons, was diagnosed with Alopecia at the age of 13. He has partnered
with the National Alopecia Areata Foundation and routinely participates
in Meet & Greet events before his games.
Happy New Year and looking forward to seeing you!
Kathryn Robinson, Meet and Greet Team Captain
