Today the National Alopecia Areata Foundation is mourning the loss of 15 year old Ryan McDonald of Knoxville, TN. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Ryan's family & friends who tried to protect and shelter him from the years of teasing and bullying. This tragedy has strengthened our resolve to spread awareness and understanding of alopecia areata in hopes that no one else should have to endure the pain that Ryan felt for years. NAAF is committed to making the world a safer and more supportive place for children, women and men with alopecia areata. |
